A team of undergraduate students from PeraCom, the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Peradeniya, emerged as Champions at the NeuroX Buildathon 2026, organized by the Hackathon Hub of NSBM, held on 31 July 2026.
The NeuroX Buildathon attracted 80 teams during its initial proposal submission phase, from which only 15 teams were shortlisted to compete in the onsite finals. The final round featured live product demonstrations and pitch presentations before an experienced panel of industry experts, including Mr. Shamal De Silva, CTO and Co-founder of Cue Labs.

The platform continuously scans news sources for potential disruptions, intelligently analyzes their impact, identifies alternative routes, and recommends the most optimal logistics paths for operators and shipping companies. The solution showcased the team's innovation, technical expertise, and ability to address real-world supply chain challenges using intelligent automation.
The winning team comprised Daniel Victor, Imaadh Ifthikar, Daniru Dinsara, and Geethma Chandoopa, undergraduate students from the E22 batch of the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Peradeniya.
This outstanding achievement highlights the team's creativity, technical excellence, and entrepreneurial mindset in developing impactful technology solutions.
